How do I create my Impostarz account?

Go to app.impostarz.com and sign up with your email. You'll receive a confirmation message — once verified, you'll land on the onboarding flow where you set your organization name, base currency, and a few preferences. No credit card is required to start on the free Starter plan.

What does the onboarding flow set up for me?

Onboarding creates your first organization, sets your base currency (out of 161 supported), seeds default income and expense categories, and prepares your dashboard. You can change any of this later from Settings.

How do I send my first invoice?

From the sidebar open Clients and add a client. Then go to Invoices, click 'New invoice', pick the client, add line items, and click Send. The invoice gets a professional PDF and a shareable link. Status updates (Sent, Paid, Overdue) are tracked automatically.

Where do I change my base currency or company details?

Open Settings → Organization. You can update the legal name, logo, address, base currency, tax/VAT number, and the details that appear on every invoice.

Yes. When creating an invoice, pick the currency for that client. The exchange rate is locked to the invoice date so your reports stay accurate.

You can include payment instructions and links (e.g., bank transfer, Stripe, PayPal) on every invoice. Clients click the link in the PDF or shareable URL to pay.

Open Transactions → New → Scan receipt. Take a photo or upload a PDF/image. Our AI extracts the vendor name, amount, date, and suggests a category. Review the extracted fields and save — no manual typing.

No. Payroll records the salary expense in your bookkeeping so your reports are accurate. Tax filing and statutory contributions are handled outside Impostarz, typically by your accountant or local payroll provider.

When you save a transaction or invoice in a non-base currency, Impostarz fetches the rate for that date and locks it. Your historical reports stay accurate even when rates fluctuate later.

Can I update an old exchange rate?

Yes — open the transaction and edit the rate. The change is saved on that record only and won't affect other entries.

Yes. Transactional emails — receipts, invoice confirmations, password resets, security alerts — are always sent regardless of marketing preferences.

I can't sign in to my account.

Use the 'Forgot password' link on the sign-in page to reset your password. Make sure you're using the same email address you signed up with. If the reset email doesn't arrive in a few minutes, check your spam folder.

A receipt scan came back with the wrong amount or vendor.

Edit any field on the extracted receipt before saving. The AI improves over time, but for low-quality photos a quick correction is the fastest fix.
